Overheard

in the elevator today...

Woman #1: They made me eat some vegan cake at the party this weekend.
Woman #2: Vegan cake? What is that?
Woman #1: It's cake with, like, the meat products taken out.
Woman #2: It's been a long time since I made a cake, but I never heard of a cake with meat in it!

Believe it or not, meatcake actually exists. Now who is going to volunteer to make a vegan version of this--maybe with a smiling cow on top?

EWWWWWWWWWWWW! I guess you could use seitan or burger crumbles and egg replacer or flax, but ewwwwwwwwww! :P

Interesting conversation you overheard. Cake without the meat? Even as an omni I never realized cake had meat in it!

I know, I should have put a warning on the meatcake link.

I don't think regular cake has meat, I was laughing inside because I think they were a little confused about what vegan means in regard to cakes!

The funniest part is that the bakery is called Black Widow Bakery. Every woman who "lovingly" makes and serves her husband is slowly but surely killing him with heart disease, diabetes, stroke, etc.
